What a match this was... This cricket game shows the fact that it does not need to be a high profiled team to create something special. The Leopards Cricket Association won the toss and decided to bat first. They got off to a decent start with Nick James and Dewald Gibbs sharing a 52 run partneship. At 88-2 L.C.A. was not making good use of the batting conditions; until Lowerence Roberts and Craig De Villiers got together, it was great to watch as Roberts and De Villiers stroked the white cricket ball all over Danson Lee Park. The innings came to an end with L.C.A. posting a good total. Woodlands came into bat and captain Gareth Roocroft almost guided his club cricket team to victory with a marvelous century. The match was a tie, a very fitting result as neither of the 2 cricket teams competing on this night deserved to lose. All in all it was a superb match and it was exciting all the way through...
